Abigail Cook - 2024 NLC Atlanta Fellow

Abigail Cook is an Atlanta native working in art and policy. She graduated from Georgia State University summa cum laude with two Bachelor’s in Studio Art and Film and Media. She is currently a Leadership and Advocacy Fellow with Columbia University’s Center for Social Justice. Cook uses her free time and resources to pursue art, a passion that has led her to exhibit and publish work nationally with Tufts University, University of Colorado, and Columbia University.

In her senior year of college, Abigail was the sole student recipient of the Sparks Award and received an honorable mention from Georgia State’s 25th Annual Juried Student Exhibition. Her senior year also included a Microsoft Fellowship with the Southern Center, a traveling solo exhibition, and filing a bill in the Georgia General Assembly.

Cook’s pursuits remain embedded in her belief in community and its power to uplift, heal, and create opportunity for all.
