Shayna Burden

Shayna L. Burden is a Detroit native, who loves her city to her core. She aims to serve the citizens of Detroit, specifically the young, the disabled, and the underclass. She currently works in Human Resources because her passion has always been helping people find where they fit in. She enjoys all forms of art, but her specific talents are for drawing and the written word. Consuming work from bell hooks and Octavia Butler has catalyzed several story ideas from Miss Burden. She aspires to be an authoress of fictional stories; stories inspired by our world and our hopes for what it could be.

Armed with knowledge from an advanced degree in business, and the experiences of her past, she seeks to develop her leadership potential and give shape to her vision for herself.
