Since graduating with his degree in Broadcast Journalism from Suffolk University Oscar has embarked on a mission to make a meaningful impact across the state. His journey took a pivotal turn when he joined the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers. Here, he worked tirelessly to advocate for accessible and quality healthcare services for all. His role allowed him to collaborate with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and policymakers to address the pressing health issues facing the Commonwealth.

Today, Oscar continues his unwavering commitment to public health as the Communications Coordinator for the Division of Violence and Injury Prevention (DVIP) at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. In this critical role, he plays a key part in raising awareness about violence prevention, injury prevention, and community safety. His dedication demonstrates his profound belief that public health is not merely a profession but a calling.
