Natalie Obaldia - 2024 NLC Sacramento Fellow

Natalie Obaldia (she/her) works as a Research Analyst with the Strategic Growth Council’s Climate Change Research Program, where she supports the engagement strategy for California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment. Prior to her current position, Natalie worked at California Volunteers, Office of the Governor, as a Regional Volunteer Coordinator assisting with Operation Feed California efforts statewide. Natalie started State service as a Legislative and Communications Aide in the California State Assembly. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Natalie is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in Cameroon an Agriculture Extension Agent.

Natalie is a first-generation Latina who is passionate abut environmental justice, food accessibility, and building community. She loves hanging out with her dog, cooking vegetarian recipes, learning new languages, traveling, and volunteering in Sacramento.
