Mónica Miranda - 2024 NLC Sacramento Fellow

Mónica Miranda a first-generation Chicana from the Central Valley who is committed to social justice and community equity. A proud product of the CSU education system, she holds a bachelor’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from CSU Sacramento; and a fellow of the Central Valley Latino Leadership Academy and HOPE Leadership Institute.

Mónica’s career is rooted in community health education and sexual and reproductive health access, she is a Program Impact Manager with Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, where her scope of work spans the multi-county affiliate territory. She also serves her community through the CDPH Office of Health Equity Advisory Committee, in her different roles she actively works to bridge gaps in access to resources for underserved communities.
