Marcus Ismael

Marcus Ismael is a communications strategist with a decade of experience in the Bay Area in government, political campaigns, and issue advocacy on housing, including early involvement in what is now known as the YIMBY movement, education and transit. His resolve to advancing equity and affordability in the region drives his commitment to service.

Marcus is the content strategist in the president’s office at San José State University, and, as a product of San Francisco State, is proud to elevate the impact of affordable and accessible public higher education for all. Marcus is equally as devoted to enjoying time with his two senior dogs exploring as much of the South Bay’s natural beauty, diverse cultural experiences and bountiful food offerings as he can.
