Malik Washington

Malik Washington is an advocate for equity and inclusion, housing, and economic development. Currently serving as City Council Liaison in the City of Detroit Mayor's Office, he plays a vital role in facilitating policy and programming between the Mayor’s Office and the Detroit City Council. Malik's experience includes previous positions in the State of Michigan and various non-profit roles. A proud graduate of Michigan State University, he holds both a Bachelor's and Masters in Public Policy.

In addition to his public service, Malik is the founder of Pyramid Visuals, a photography and graphic design brand. He is an active member of the NAACP, Vice President of Black Boys Empowered, and has served on the Youth Advisory Council of former State Representative Sarah Anthony.

In his personal time, he enjoys exploring new food places, traveling, and spending quality time with loved ones.
