Lyndon Batiste - 2024 NLC Atlanta Fellow

With over 13 years as a library and information professional, Lyndon Batiste is the Head of User Services at the Robert W. Woodruff Library, Emory University Libraries and Museum. In various leadership roles, he actively contributes to the DEI Committee and represents Emory Libraries and Museum on the Emory University Diversity Liaison Commission.

Lyndon's achievements have gained national recognition, including being honored with the Association of Research Library’s Kaleidoscope Diversity Scholar Award, selection for the prestigious Harvard University Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians, and the American Library Association Emerging Leaders program.

A Morehouse College graduate, Lyndon holds an MA in Religious Studies from Beulah Heights University and an MA in Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama, emphasizing social justice and inclusivity. In his personal time, he cherishes moments with his wife, Jessica Adams Batiste, and their two sons, Lyndon Batiste, Jr., and Jackson Batiste.
