Juan Reyna

Juan Reyna, a first-generation graduate, was born in Brownsville, Texas. He earned a Business Management Degree and began his career as an investigator and legal caseworker at Child Protective Services. Working with Child Protective Services in Corpus Christi and San Antonio made him an advocate to make a difference in the foster care system. Currently, Juan Reyna works as the Outreach and Events Manager for UTSA Fostering Futures Program, where he supports youth with a history of foster care, achieving goals in higher education and beyond.

Juan Reyna grew up in a very conservative family, but coming out as gay has increased his passion for advocating for the LGBTQ community. In his spare time, Juan Reyna likes to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, and traveling.
