Hari Pingali

Hari Pingali (he/him) is a Senior Economist at Walmart and aspires to improve the lives of workers. Originally from Alabama, Hari studied mathematics and economics at the University of Chicago and has lived in Arkansas since 2023. His research focuses include the effects of wage hikes and the economic determinants of crime. He hopes to continue researching sources of earnings inequality and the intersection of mental health, employment, and crime. Hari is especially interested in improving mental health awareness in communities impeded by stigma and the lack of affordable access.

Outside of work, Hari claims to be the biggest fan of Sumo this side of the Mississippi and enjoys basketball, his foster cats, and writing. His work has been published in Please See Me.
