She/Her

Hapshiba Kwon - 2024 NLC Boston Fellow

Hapshiba Kwon (she/her) is a southern California native turned New Englander whose experiences inform her passions for education advocacy and intersectional justice. As a former educator, she believes in empowering people to tell their own stories -- on paper, in films, and over a hearty meal.

Hapshiba holds a BA in English from Amherst College, where she received the Ralph Waldo Rice Prize and a Fulbright grant. Her experiences in community outreach, research, and strategic communications led her to Asian American Futures, where she works at the junction of narrative change and philanthropy to activate a new generation of AANHPIs for racial solidarity.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cat cuddles, and poetry.
