Ebony Read

Ebony Read (she/her) is an advocate for the arts being a means of social change. She believes that everyone should have access to the arts regardless of social economic status. Growing up a shy kid in Jacksonville, AR, her mother introduced her to theater and dance to help her gain confidence and break out of her shell.

In 2010, Ebony graduated from University of Central Arkansas with her bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. After graduation she worked at food advocacy nonprofits and programs like Women, Infant, and Children (WIC). For the last three years, she has worked at the Pulaski County Circuit Courthouse.
