Charisse Watts - 2024 NLC New Jersey Fellow

Charisse N. Watts (She/Her) was raised in Plainsboro, NJ. Growing up in Plainsboro, she gained a passion for learning about different cultures, civil rights, and community involvement.

Charisse earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Language and Literature from Rowan University. In 2019, she studied Intensive Chinese Language in Shanghai, China at East China Normal University. She is an active member of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated, NAACP, and Mercer County Young Democrats. Charisse's professional experience includes working for NJ Governor Philip D. Murphy and NJ Senator Troy Singleton.

Charisse currently serves as an Outreach Advisor for U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, specializing in African American Affairs, Housing, Civil Rights, Criminal Justice, FEMA and Law Enforcement issues. She is passionate about finding ways to bring accessibility and affordability to constituents through multiple avenues.
