Breanna Maldonado - 2026 NLC Los Angeles Fellow

Breanna Maldonado-Alarcon (she/her) is a dedicated labor and immigrant rights advocate from Compton, California, committed to uplifting marginalized communities across Los Angeles County. Informed by her lived experiences navigating exclusionary systems, she fights for working-class and immigrant voices to be heard.

As a worker organizer with LAANE, she advocates for labor rights, language justice, and civic engagement in communities such as Boyle Heights, South Gate, and Compton. She believes every worker deserves safety, stability, and a voice in shaping their future, whether at city hall or the workplace.

Additionally, Breanna serves as a Human Resources Specialist in the U.S. Army National Guard. She has also received recognition for her impactful "Know Your Rights" work and presentations given across LA County to educate and empower workers.
