Amber Fannin - 2024 NLC Houston Fellow

Amber Fannin is a born and raised Houstonian from Southwest Houston. She attended William B Travis high school where she was apart of the first graduating class. After graduation she attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX majoring in General Studies. While in Beaumont her passion for helping the next grew. She wanted her community to learn how to hold their elected officials accountable. So she created BLOC (Beaumont Local Organizing Committee.) where we bridge the gap between community and government. After graduating from Lamar in 2017, Amber moved back to Houston and continued her community organizing and became more politically motivated than ever. She plans on being the change she wants to see and run for office in the future.
