Aly Madan - 2024 NLC Boston Fellow

Aly Madan is an immigration attorney and civil rights advocate. She is passionate about systemic advocacy, particularly as it relates to immigrants’ rights, racial justice, and electoral reform. Aly received a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University, and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. She currently works at Greater Boston Legal Services, where she specializes in asylum law.

Among other volunteering and community-based efforts, Aly has served as a mediator, poll worker, and census enumerator. She was selected to be a member of the Mayor of Boston’s SPARK Council, which promotes civic engagement among young people, and is a member of the Equity Committee for BUDA, a local sports nonprofit.

In her spare time, Aly enjoys playing Ultimate (frisbee), reading, exploring new restaurants and cafes, and spending time with her friends.
