New Leaders Council Virginia – Home for future & current leaders and change makers of Virginia
New Leaders Council of Virginia is the premiere spot for changemakers dedicated to progress, equity, and justice to network and gain the skills needed to create a more inclusive, accessible, and people-forward Commonwealth. Through NLC Virginia, leaders will learn how to transform our country through social and political change rooted in equity. We strive to empower and uplift all communities throughout our Commonwealth and to bridge the divides that exist between the regions, identities, and lived experiences in Virginia.
Since our founding, we’ve trained 56 place-based leaders in Virginia.
We’ve provided 5,300 hours of training to emerging leaders in Virginia, at no cost to participants.
My experience with NLC Virginia has not only given me a toolkit to go out and make the change I want to see in my community, but it has also given me lifelong friends and an inspiring, new network.
The relationships I’ve forged as part of my cohort is something that I will take with me throughout my career and beyond. I encourage anyone to get involved and stay involved and one great way to do that is by joining the NLC Virginia family.
