Oakland Chapter

Growing our fearless legacy of servant-leadership in the fight for equity

Rooted in a historical legacy of community-led activism and cross-cultural coalition-building, NLC Oakland develops a new generation of leaders to build a more inclusive and equitable society. We do this by identifying leaders with a demonstrated engagement in our local communities and a commitment to centering economic and racial equity. We help propel these leaders forward by giving them the tools and network to turn their ideas into reality.

The NLC fellowship helps foster the kind of experience needed to meaningfully address the challenges facing our democracy.

– Jignasha Pandya (she/her)
2020 NLC Oakland Fellow

NLC Oakland helps build a pipeline of diverse, progressive leaders who are committed to fighting for racial, social and economic justice for our communities. The time has never been more urgent for bold, visionary leadership.
