NLC leaders from coast to coast are driving progressive change in their communities every day. Our core-constituency, millennials, will soon be the largest voting bloc in American history (~83 million voters) and will be the generation to truly change our institutions in American society. Here's the latest from the #NLCFamily.

The 2019 NLC Institute
NLC Chapters across the country are training over 800 progressive leaders to be change makers in their communities. NLC Fellows are trained by our expert faculty in communication, digital organizing, fundraising, campaign management, policy, and much more. This year’s class of NLC Fellows is one of the most diverse yet. They are teachers and elected officials, activists and journalists, nonprofit leaders and entrepreneurs.

Whether a nurse from Broward, a science teacher from New Jersey, a labor organizer from Kentucky, an environmental advocate from San Francisco, these progressive leaders have one thing in common – they are the future of our communities and our country!

The application for the 2020 NLC Institute opens on May 1st. You can be one of the first to know by signing up for a reminder here.

NLC Convention

This year New Leaders Council will bring together millennial, political and thought leaders from across the country to network with next generation leaders and gain the skills to enact progressive change in our communities at the 2019 NLC Convention in Des Moines, Iowa. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn from one another, share resources and experiences, ideas and inspirations for stronger communities at the NLC National Convention.

Last year, more than 400 millennial leaders came together at the NLC Convention in Houston to share experiences, ideas, and inspiration while charting the course for the Future of Millennial America. The action-packed, 4-day conference featured dynamic keynote speakers and an incredible group of Spark! Talk presenters from the NLC community.
