Whitney Cipolla – Oklahoma

Whitney Cipolla (she/her/hers) is a lifelong Tulsan with a commitment to building a more equitable society through policy, advocacy, and service. She is currently the Advocacy Specialist at Mental Health Association Oklahoma, but prior to this, she taught 6th grade ELA. Her drive to create change comes from wanting her students to have fewer barriers to overcome and more opportunities for success through equal investment in all Oklahoma children. Whitney graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2017 with a BA in English and Women’s and Gender Studies. While at TU, Whitney was named a Top 10 Freshman and a Top 10 Senior. She was also the recipient of the Marcy Lawless Service Award and the Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award. She received her Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in public policy and a Graduate Certificate in nonprofit management from OU-Tulsa in 2020. Whitney loves serving the Tulsa community through volunteering. She is the board president of the Little Blue House, a board of advisors member for Oklahomans for Equality, a board member for the Teach for America Greater Tulsa Alumni Board, and the Government Relations co-crew leader for TYPROS. She enjoys reading, podcasts, spending time with family and friends, and going on walks with her dog Miles.
