Trenton Butler is a young, rising star in the world of nonprofits, community organizing, and politics. He is the manager of Forward Together New Orleans, focusing on daily operations and long term organizational effectiveness. He facilitates partnerships between government, non profit organizations, and business sectors to provide impactful relief that helps alleviate the challenges of New Orleanians.

Prior to Forward Together New Orleans, he worked at Orleans Parish School Board, the Committee to Re-Elect LaToya Cantrell, and Action New Orleans PAC. He holds a B.A. in political science from Xavier University of Louisiana and is currently enrolled in Tulane University’s inaugural online cohort for a Master of Public Administration degree. Born and raised in New Orleans, Trent’s love for the community extends beyond his day job, as he actively engages in community organizing around issues of race, gender, and class. It is his belief that our liberation is tied together, and for one of us to be liberated, we must all be liberated. Through solidarity and collective action, it is his goal that we move the city, state, and country towards a more just and equitable society.
