Tanisha Pruitt - Columbus

Tanisha S. Pruitt, Ph.D (She/her) is an education and social justice advocate. She believes that everyone no matter where they live or what they look like deserves access to a quality education, a living wage, and affordable sustainable housing. In her current role as a State Policy Fellow at Policy Matters Ohio, she examines Ohio’s state revenue and budget policies through the lens of the K-12, workforce development, and reforming youth public safety. Tanisha received a PhD in Public Policy and Urban Affairs from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Tanisha was selected as one of the 2023 recipients of the prestigious 18 of 9 Award through her alma mater, Miami University Alumni Association. Tanisha lives in Columbus, Ohio and enjoys serving her community, reading, and traveling. Tanisha is a lifelong advocate for youth. She looks forward to making an impact and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
