Sarah Richardson - Chicago

Sarah Richardson (she/her) is a public health professional dedicated to advancing equitable and sustainable behavioral health policy in Chicago. In her role as a Grants Research Specialist at the Chicago Department of Public Health, she works to expand access to evidence-based harm reduction and recovery services for people with substance use disorders. Sarah received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Davidson College, a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and is now studying Women’s and Gender Studies at DePaul University.

Before coming to Chicago, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Georgia, worked in political and economic development at USAID in Tbilisi, and supported public health approaches to drug policy in Anchorage, Alaska. Sarah grew up in Montpelier, Vermont and is always looking for mountains to explore.
