Sam Clendenning - Chicago
Sam Clendenning (he/him) is an organizer and current law student. He believes that housing, education, and quality jobs are a human right. Currently, he is pursuing a JD at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Sam attended Occidental College and graduated in 2018. He then pursued a Masters from the University of Cape Town. He then returned to Chicago where he worked as a tenant organizer for the Metropolitan Tenants Organization before beginning law school, and served as a steering committee member for the 25th Ward Independent Political Organization. Sam lives in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. He has been involved in community organizing his entire life -- his mother and grandmother were prominent Chicago activists. Sam grew up in Chicago, and attended Chicago Public Schools. He enjoys swimming in the lake and eating at new restaurants.
