Ralph Cochran - Columbus

Originally from Youngstown, OH, Ralph Cochran (he/him) first lived in Columbus, OH in 2007 and then later moved back in 2016. He is currently the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at Capital University in Bexley, OH. He has been dedicated to advancing equity in higher education, minimizing harm to marginalized communities, and improving campus climate for underserved populations. Prior to accepting a Director position at Capital University, Ralph worked at The Ohio State University serving as the Manager for the Morrill Scholars Program, the nation’s largest diversity based leadership scholarship program. He received his Masters of Education at Mercer University in Georgia, and completed his undergrad at Capital University receiving his Bachelors degree in Psychology. Outside of work and diversity efforts, he enjoys binging television series, going to restaurants, and diving into a good comic book series.
