Rachel Shanklin - Atlanta
Rachel Shanklin (she/they) is a servant leader, ecosystem builder and public policy professional who is passionate about advancing racial equity and economic justice by working to improve the lives of those who are often marginalized and forgotten in the policy making process. Currently, Rachel serves as Georgia Director for Small Business Majority, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved entrepreneurs facing systemic barriers. In this role, she directs Small Business Majority’s outreach, education and policy efforts that will enable small business owners to create quality jobs and to increase access to capital, financial services, affordable healthcare and equity for entrepreneurs.
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a BA in Political Science, and Georgia State University, where she earned a Master of Public Health. In her free time, Rachel enjoys listening to music, hiking and reading mystery/thriller books.
