Paula Granger - Capital District NY

Paula Granger is a security professional with 15+ years of experience and education in domestic violence, countering violent extremism, and cybersecurity. A former Empire State Fellow, she currently works at the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. Paula fills many roles, including program manager and acting assistant director, for the newly created Domestic Terrorism Prevention Unit.

Paula holds a BA in philosophy and women's studies from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis, an MA degree in nonproliferation and terrorism studies from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey with financial crime management specialization and an MS degree in cybersecurity risk and strategy from New York University. Paula also earned a congressionally approved AA degree in Persian-Farsi studies from the Defense Language Institute.

Paula served 12 years in the Army National Guard and received a Joint Service Commendation Medal for her work at United States Cyber Command.
