Patrice Carpenter - Sacramento

Patrice Carpenter, born and raised in Sacramento, is an advocate for health equity and sexual violence survivors. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in Sociology, Patrice sought an education in public health, hoping to tackle the health disparities prevalent within her community. During her time at Texas A&M University’s School of Public Health; Patrice was a recipient of the Maternal & Child Health scholarship, volunteered as an advocate for the Byran, Texas Sexual Assault Resource Center, and sat as the Outreach Chair for the Maternal & Child Health Student Organization. In 2019, she received her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion & Community Health Sciences. Today Patrice continues her advocacy as a Prevention & Intervention Coordinator working with transitional aged youth. When she is not in the field, Patrice enjoys singing, painting, and spending time with her family.
