Pablo Baxter

Journeyman Electrician, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers

Pablo Baxter is originally from Sacramento, California, and moved to Madison, WI after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from California State University, Sacramento. While attending university he was active in numerous groups and clubs including the Multi-Cultural Center, Leadership Initiative--where he was one of the first students to complete their leadership development program, Photography Club—where he held positions as vice-president and president, and weekly host the campus radio station, KSSU. After serving the art community full-time for over a year in Madison, Pablo was accepted into a 5 year union electrician apprenticeship where he learned not only the in's and out's of the electrical trade, but also learned what it meant to be a member of a union—the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Pablo has expanded his union involvement  to serve in numerous positions including apprentice representative, election teller, instructor, and conference delegate. He currently serves as chairman of their young workers committee, RENEW 159. Pablo's involvement has grown beyond his union and into the greater Madison community where he works with the League of Women Voters of Dane County, the Madison City Clerk's office, the South Central Federation of Labor, and several other community groups. In his free time Pablo enjoys practicing photography, live music, volunteering, cycling, and visiting small towns in Wisconsin.
