Namatie Mansaray - Washington DC
Namatie Mansaray (she/her) received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Bowie State University and her master’s degree in public policy from Drexel University.
With a strong commitment to public service, Namatie has mentored high school students, served on the Montgomery County, Maryland Committee on Hate/Violence, and currently serves on the Washington, D.C. Mayor’s Advisory Board on Veterans Affairs. Namatie is an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single-Member District 4C06, in Petworth, Washington, D.C., and serves as chair of ANC 4C.
Namatie’s military service and vast experience has led to her current role as senior director at MomsRising where she advocates for family economic security and an end to discrimination against women and moms across the nation. Namatie has co-authored legislation, authored an article in a leading journal on aging and policy, facilitated workshops and spoken on panels. In her free time, Namatie enjoys taking French and sewing lessons.
