Mina Kobayashi - North Carolina
Mina Kobayashi (she/her) was born and raised in New York City and now lives in Durham, North Carolina. She has lived in Maine for four years and Minnesota for six years. Since graduating Colby College with a BA in Anthropology and East Asian Studies, Mina has worked in development and communications at nonprofit organizations serving young people through education access, workforce development, and theatre. She currently works remotely for Genesys Works Twin Cities. One of Mina’s guiding values is centering and amplifying the voices and experiences of communities affected by injustice. Mina is on the board of Association of Fundraising Professionals – Triangle Chapter and will lead their Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access committee in 2023. Through AFP, she is working to create community and support among BIPOC fundraisers. Mina also enjoys spending time playing soccer, cooking, reading, and aspiring to spend more time in creative outlets like crocheting.
