Megan Cremeans - Columbus
Megan Cremeans (she/her) will always call Appalachian Ohio home. Her passion for advancing equity in the region began in college, where she independently investigated the impact of school funding on Ohio’s rural and Appalachian communities. She was also introduced to advocacy and became a champion for low-income students in higher education, graduating in 2020 from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Armed with a desire to see all Ohioans thrive, Megan will graduate from Ohio State University in 2023 with a Juris Doctorate and a Master’s in Public Policy and Management. Her studies include a multi-year interdisciplinary project on the intersection of education and democracy. Upon graduation, she will join the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio as Assistant Director of Public-Private Partnerships. Megan looks forward to a lifetime of sustained transformation, storytelling, and many more hikes with her dog, Bo.
