Malcom Ray - Los Angeles

Malcolm is an activist, organizer, and operations professional who has worked in politics, government, the nonprofit and private sectors. Currently, Malcolm is Community Manager at MVMT in Venice CA. In this role, Malcolm directs all community outreach and philanthropic initiatives. Malcolm was previously a staffer in the executive office of legal aid nonprofit, Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County.

Prior to moving to Los Angeles, in 2017, Malcolm was a field organizer on political campaigns, in his native New York City, and in Pennsylvania. A graduate of Columbia University, Malcolm believes that public transportation can be a transformative tool of social change, positively impacting arenas as seemingly disparate as racial and income inequality, and the climate crisis. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, hiking, and splashing in the ocean. A proud donor-dad, Malcolm has recently been working to build community with other queer parents in the LA area.
