Luke Apfeld – Oakland

Luke Apfeld (he/him) is an attorney striving to ensure equity and equality across communities, with a particular interest in advocating for and serving youth of color. He believes that it is a collective responsibility to create and sustain a world in which the next generations can thrive. Luke attended the University of Vermont, where he was the captain of the UVM Men's Basketball Team. Following graduation, Luke worked for Senator Patrick Leahy, a former Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Luke then attended University of California, Berkeley’s School of Law, and is now a practicing attorney in the Bay Area. Having lived around the world, Luke settled in Oakland in 2021. He enjoys spending time outdoors, playing tennis, and cooking with his partner. Luke is passionate about teaching through sport, and maintains strong ties to the game of basketball through coaching.
