Josh Wright - Sacramento
Josh Wright (he/him) is a Legislative Aide in the California State Senate, where he focuses on environmental issues, transportation, governmental organization, and healthcare. He is also passionate about housing policy, changing the criminal justice system, and reducing wealth inequality. Josh first came to the legislature through the Cal-In-Sacramento Fellowship, a campus-based internship program. Josh attended the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated magna cum laude with a BA in philosophy in 2020. At Berkeley, he was involved with the campus chapter of the ACLU and was a fellow for the Elizabeth Warren campaign. Josh is originally from San Luis Obispo but he also lived in Waco, TX. In Texas, Josh founded Waco’s only LGBTQ organization, was president of his college Young Democrats, and was a fellow for the Wendy Davis Gubernatorial Campaign. In his free time, Josh practices vinyasa yoga, spends time outdoors, and cooks with friends.
