Joseph Malek - SW Ohio

Joseph Michael Malek (he/him) was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio driven to advocate for his hometown's redevelopment through public service. His heart and passion derives from his large family's upbringing in the City's largest black neighborhood, Avondale where he was first introduced to community development. What started from volunteer-ship through crime prevention through environmental design, anti-litter campaigns, and food security initiatives accelerated into a career in neighborhood development for the City of Cincinnati. While his educational background was based in finance and real estate, his passion amplifies his skills to deliver community centered projects within inner city neighborhoods.

Joseph enjoys regularly cooking meals with friends, hiking, fitness, and competitive swimming during his restful hours. Lastly, he believes life is about developing relationships rather than a series of transactions. For him, genuine connections make a positive impact in this growing society.
