Janiyah Davis Hines - San Francisco

Janiyah N. Davis Hines (She/her), a recent first-generation college graduate, made the transition from Miami, Florida to San Francisco with aspirations to expand her leadership skills. She currently holds a position at Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth, as Youth Organizer where she works with youth impacted by the school-to-prison pipeline. Janiyah majored in Sociology and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She Interned with a State Representative in her college town, Founded the Social Justice Institute, Student Association on her campus and led as a member of the International Honor Society of Sociology. She volunteered at organizations such as Florida Student Power Network, Color of Change and the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, lobbying and fighting for various issues. Utilizing her personal experiences as tools to fight Injustice. In her free time, she enjoys reading non-fiction books, working out and writing short essays analyzing life as a Black Woman in Modern America.
