Jake Montano - San Francisco
Jake Montano (he/they) is an educator, creative, and organizer who has been living in the Bay Area since 2011. His work as an informal education practitioner and researcher, drag performer, and community advocate are all in pursuit of uplifting the agency, prowess, and autonomy of all youth, queer people, immigrants, and people of color. He has attended the University of Southern California, Mills College, and Northeastern University through his educational career, with degrees focused on Cultural Anthropology, Cinema, and Educational Leadership, and believes in the power of leading a multidisciplinary life brimming with expression and exploration. When not organizing community events in San Francisco or virtually, Jake is very likely cooking, DIY’ing, stumbling through yoga, or cuddling with his dog, as rest and rejuvenation are just as important as advocacy and work.
