Irene Takako Farr - Los Angeles
Irene Takako Farr (she/her) is a practitioner in environmental justice, racial justice, communications, and public policy. She is committed to improving the quality of life for all people, and dedicates her work to environmental justice communities across California. In her current role at Better World Group Advisors, Irene brings expertise in environmental policy research and implementation related to the topics of land use, wildfire, waste, oceans and coasts, and labor, to build policies that are centered in community knowledge and experience. Irene earned her master of urban and regional planning from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. She holds a bachelor’s in environmental science from Santa Barbara City College and UCLA. Irene is committed to building pathways for environmental justice communities, indigenous communities, and tribes to build policymaking processes. In her spare time, she likes to write poetry.
