Georquel Goodwin – Denver

Georquel is a galvanizer and socioeconomic mobility champion. Georquel embodies essential leadership astuteness and uplifting ingenuity to his family, peers, and stakeholders. He advocates for the progression of the quality of life, financial literacy, educational advancement, and political representation in black and brown communities. Georquel currently serves the Colorado Department of Human Services as a Budget and Policy Analyst III. Georquel provides keen recommendations to executive state leadership with operational and programmatic enhancement surrounding domestic violence, youth rehabilitation, and other programs within the Office of Children & Family and Youth Services. Georquel is a recent honors graduate of Hampton University with a B.S. in Finance, with a minor in Political Science. While at Hampton, Georquel was an SGA Director of Finance, Forbes 30 under 30 Scholar, and Presidential Precinct Global Pathfinder Summit Scholar. Georquel is also a 2020 initiate of the Gamma Epsilon chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Georquel currently resides in Denver, CO where he enjoys reading, hiking, and cooking. Georquel has been impassioned with governmental and economic advocacy since his adolescent upbringing in Santee, SC. As a future attorney and public servant, Georquel is currently serving as a 2020 Govern for America Fellow.
