Erika Ngo - Sacramento

Erika Ngo (she/her) serves as the Legislative Director for Assemblymember Ash Kalra. In her role, Erika develops and oversees the Member’s legislative package, as well as staffs key issues areas such as Public Safety, Judiciary, and the API Legislative Caucus.

Erika grew up in Alhambra, California, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Mandarin from Whittier College. After completing her degree, Erika moved to Sacramento as a Capitol Fellow in the Office of Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer.

Erika currently serves as the President of the API Capitol Association (APICA) in order to support and better promote API staff development throughout the Capitol community. Erika previously served as APICA’s Treasurer and Community Affairs Director where she co-coordinated the 2020 and 2021 APICA summer internships. She's also an alumna of the California Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus Institute and served as a Rainbow Mentor through the Capitol LGBTQ Association.
