Deborah Lopez - Rhode Island

Deborah Lopez (she/her) is a first-generation Guatemalan American from East Boston, MA. She is a class of 2021 Alumna of Providence College with a B.A. in Global Studies with a focus on Political Economies of urban cities.

She is strong believer of community building and youth leadership development initiatives. During her undergraduate years, was a 2020 Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellow recognized for her service work through the Providence College Feinstein Community Fellowship for two organizations whose missions she identifies with as a member of an immigrant community and as a first-generation student: College Visions, which helps students with the college application process, and the Alliance to Mobilize Our Resistance, an immigration reform group.

In her role as Program Coordinator, Deborah works closely with community partners to continue collaborative efforts in creating lasting, community-wide systems that welcome and support students and Providence community members.
