Darnell Davis - 2026 NLC Washington DC Fellow

Darnell Davis is a public health scientist and molecular virologist dedicated to advancing equitable health outcomes through innovation and community-centered leadership. He is completing his doctorate in biology at Howard University, where his research focuses on RNA viruses and developing diagnostic tools that improve early detection in underserved communities. Davis holds a Master of Public Health and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He previously served as an APHL/CDC Infectious Diseases Fellow, supporting laboratory capacity-building and disease-prevention initiatives nationwide. He is also an ASM Future Leaders Mentorship Fellow, recognized for his commitment to leadership and service in public health.

Davis is passionate about mentorship, community wellness, and creating accessible technologies that strengthen health equity.
