Damien Haussling - Washington DC

Damien Haussling (He, Him, His) grew up outside of Washington, in Loudon County, Virginia., and has lived in Baltimore since 2011. One of the co-founders of the Baltimore Furniture Banks and its current Director of Partner Engagement, Haussling is a 2019 Open Society Institute Baltimore Community Fellow working to establish Baltimore’s first furniture bank to serve the community. Haussling has previously worked in Operations and Office Management at Baltimore Corps, served as an AmeriCorps/VISTA coordinating outreach and operations of the Baltimore Area Faces of Homelessness Speakers’ Bureau, in various service jobs and, earlier in his career, as a high school math teacher.

Mr. Haussling also enjoys helping to educate others by tutoring subjects including upper-level university math classes as well as leading SAT and GRE prep courses. Mr. Haussling graduated from the University of Mary Washington (then known as Mary Washington College) in Fredericksburg, VA., with a degree in Psychology.
