Brooks Gallman – Wisconsin

Brooks Gallman (he/him) is a Research Analyst at the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. He provides data analysis and compliance monitoring for state, county, and external stakeholders working in the child welfare and youth justice systems. Brooks graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a bachelor's degree in Communications and Journalism in 2010. After serving two terms in AmeriCorps in Austin, TX he went on to receive a Master of Public Administration degree from Texas A&M University. While enrolled in a Ph.D. program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison he was active in the teaching assistant's union and other student-led organizing campaigns focused on improving working conditions for graduate students. Brooks lives in Madison, WI where he enjoys exploring the city's parks with his daughter Rory and wife Katie. As a wannabe chef, you can also catch him experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or listening to as much music as possible. He grew up in a rural community near Woodruff, SC. Brooks is passionate about expanding voting rights and campaign finance reform so that more people vote and less money influences our elections.
