Belle Townsend - Kentucky

Belle Townsend (she/they) is a queer artist, political researcher, advocate, baker, independent author, poet, and entrepreneur. Although from Henderson, KY, Belle currently resides in Louisville, KY. They earned their B.A. in Political Science from Boston University. While at BU, they completed the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, served as a Student Government Senator and Party Leader, and was awarded as a Yawkey Scholar for distinction in the non-profit sector. Belle has worked on 6 Kentucky campaign cycles, in strategy, field organizing, and currently, research. Belle has also worked in digital organizing in racial advocacy in the education movement, as well as as in grassroots organizing for a youth advocacy centered non-profit. Belle has owned and operated a home bakery for 10 years. They recently self-published their first book, Push and Pull, making them a 7x published author. Belle advocates for comprehensive change, but specifically advocates for economic, environmental, and social justice.
