Barb Hynes - New Hampshire

Barb Hynes (she/her) is a social worker, educator, budding entrepreneur, and resilience advocate. In her current role with Child Protection, she makes it her mission to connect with families in a non-judgmental way and to provide them with the tools they need to build resilience and heal trauma. She believes strongly that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a full and healthy life. Barb is also the founder of Local Feminist Made, a subscription box service that exclusively sells products made by New England Feminists, with all profits donated to help people access abortions. Barb attended Saint Anselm College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy in 2004. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of NH and is chipping away at a Master of Education in Library Media so that she can one day fulfil a lifelong dream of "retiring" into a position as a children's librarian. Barb lives in Londonderry, NH where she enjoys spending time with family and friends and volunteering as a Community Caregiver. She also enjoys crafting and fiber arts of all kinds, reading science fiction, and playing board games. Barb grew up in Pelham, NH where she served as a Trustee of Trust Funds and Budget Committee Member. Education and kindness are values that have been passed down from her Memere and Mom, and she continues to strive to do the best she can in any situation.
