Ashanti Martinez is a research and policy analyst for CASA representing the interest of their members in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties. He has formerly served as staffer to Prince George’s County Councilmember Thomas E. Dernoga, staffer to the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus, and Deputy Political Director to Delegate Joseline Pena-Melnyk.

Ashanti was named in the “Top 30 Under 30” by 93.9 WKYS in 2017 and was also featured on the “Forty Under 40” by the Prince George’s County Social Innovation Fund. He proudly serves as an Advisory Board member for St. Mary's Landover Hills School and on the 20|30 Leadership Council for the Clinton Foundation. He was named one of the 2018 Young Futurists by The Root and in 2020 he was listed as The Daily Record's “Top 40 under 40, Very Important Professionals (VIP)” for Maryland. He has been featured in the Washington Post, Washington Informer, WUSA 9, BET, Kojo Nnamdi Show, Washington Hispanic, PG-CTV and NPR.
