Arpit Arora – Los Angeles
Arpit received his undergraduate and graduate training in New Jersey and New York. He completed his fellowship in Hospice/Palliative Medicine (HPM) at NYU and continued on as faculty there after graduating in 2018. He is a clinician educator, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows while attending to patient care, and was awarded with the NYU "HPM Teacher of the Year" in 2021 for his efforts. He has served as Section Chief and served in various committee and leadership roles on an institutional and national level.
Outside of this, Arpit continues his growth as a community leader. He is a member of the NYU Palliative Care Discrimination Workgroup; their project, "Screening Question on Discrimination for Inpatient Palliative Care Consults," was a Bronze Winner in a national innovation and quality improvement challenge. Arpit also served on the United Way of Greater Newark’s Young Professional Alliance as well as its Board of Trustees before moving to LA. Having spent most of his life in New Jersey, Arpit is excited to be on the West Coast, learn all about LA, and work with the fantastic people involved with NLC! He’s grateful for another opportunity to continue developing his skills and contribute to his community.
