Angela Surratt – Oklahoma

Angela Surratt was born in Tulsa, OK. She attended Booker T. Washington high school and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Tulsa and was very active on campus and held leadership positions in multiple organizations. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration and a graduate certificate in Public Health from Oklahoma State University, Center for Health Sciences. Angela has 8 years experience in higher education specifically working in medical education and creating pipeline programs for high school students especially those who identify as tribal, rural and underrepresented in Oklahoma. She currently works for Madison Strategies Group as the Due North Program Coordinator. In 2017, Angela was a recipient of the NextGen 30 under 30 award for Healthcare. Angela enjoys attending church, volunteering, creating art, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, being a part of community groups and working within her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as the Technology Chair. Angela has a strong passion for working with underrepresented youth and adults, and assisting in community and educational endeavors to expose these groups to avenues that may not seem attainable.
